Nine-year-old Kayla was born a beautiful, healthy little girl, but in August of 2005, at the age of five, her first symptoms of BVVL started. Now, she is fighting every day to maintain her mobility, her smile and her determination to keep going despite the arduous tasks that for the rest of us are a mundane part of our everyday lives...like maneuvering through the web. Kayla uses her feet to click the mouse, as her upper body is now paralyzed. Her determination is full of innocent, patient wonder and hope...for a cure.
